Getting your dentures
In

complete or partial dentureshttps://www.sachsdental.net/procedures/restorations/dentures-partial-dentures/. In this post, we'll talk in little more detail about what getting dentures involves.
Typically, getting dentures will require more than one visit, spread out over the course of a few weeks. Dr. Sachs will need to perform an examination to assess the health of your mouth. In the case of complete dentures, which will replace all of the teeth of either your upper or lower arch, any remaining teeth will need to be extracted.
In order to design a denture that will be a perfect fit for your mouth, and impression will need to be taken of the area, which will be sent to a dental lab to guide the construction of your new denture. Dr. Sachs may provide you with a temporary denture to wear while the final version is being made.
When your new dentures are ready, you will return to the office for a fitting. Dr. Sachs will make any necessary adjustments to make sure they are comfortable.
Living with dentures
Dentures or partials may take some getting used to. At first, you may experience an increase in saliva production. There may be some sensitivity, and talking and eating with your dentures in place could take some time to adjust to. Your mouth will eventually become more accustomed to wearing them.
Dr. Sachs will provide you with instructions on the best way to
care for them. Your new dentures should last for years with care and maintenance of the appliance.
