Did you know that using e-cigarettes with sweet flavors can be just as bad for you as candy?
A study reported not long ago by the ADA Foundation Volpe Research Center
ADA Foundation Volpe Research Center discovered that these sweet e-cigarettes enhance your risk of getting cavities because of what’s discovered within the fluids. Researches learned that they have properties similar to high-sucrose, gelatin-based sweets like gummy candies, as well as various acidic drinks. This, in combination with the viscous nature of the e-cigarette fluids, leads to the increased potential for tooth decay found in the study.
Thomas Hart, DDS, PhD, and senior director of the ADA Foundation Volpe Research Center wanted to raise awareness of this potential for damage, stating: “This study will give dentists further information to help educate patients that using e-cigarettes can have detrimental effects on their mouths,”
